What an incredible story!
Who would have believed that possible still in 2006?
A dozen of cartoons were published in a Danish newspaper (Jyllands-Posten) last September. They were published recently again in a magazine in Norway.
The cartoons were realized by the following cartoonists :

THE 12 CARTOONS
Now, there are our Muslim friends whining, lamenting, spitting and struggling for some caricatures (really inoffensive ones!) of their cherished prophet Muhammad, founder of their religion.
This event was shamefully recovered by their religious and politial leaders who encourage people to go on the streets and shouting all kinds of slogans anti-occidental.
I have my trip! ;0)

These people doen't know at all the meaning of the word democracy, whose freedom of speech is the base...
They seem to have the brain completely washed by their own religion and, unfortunately, not to have any common sense.
What's the problem for them, to see some caricatures of Muhammed published in democratic countries like Denmark or Norway?
As if there were no caricatures of Jesus drawn since more than a century?
What's wrong with that?
It's where we realize that we really don't share the same culture...
In Occident, it is an HONOUR to be caricatured!
Imagine : somebody who finds that a subject has enough interest to spend a few hours to make of it a good drawing, it is an honour for the subject!
It is something that I can't understand!
Is their belief either so fragile that some drawings come to threaten them at the point where It is necessary to tear their shirt of indignation in the face of the world?

As a cartoonist myself, I feel very preoccupied by those events.
I find that these kind of people are dangerous. They probably miss education and knowledge of the external world. Their religious and political leaders benefit outrageously from their ignorance to control them and to make them believe almost anything!
Calm yourself! Come back to earth in the REAL world.

How to blow something out of proportion (excuse the pun). Thanks for posting the cartoons. I have read all about them, but even though I am Danish I haven't actually seen them till now.
Apparently someone has been pouring oil on the fire by spreading false rumours of even worse cartoons being published (see jp.dk for more details).

Personally, I am sick and tired of the drama, hate filled behavior, and violence perpetrated by out of control muslims (please excuse the redundancy). No Abdullah, we do not respect your god or your religious practices. Your kind cut off people's heads while holding their hands behind their back. You do it not because of any desire to make things better for your people, you do it because you love to kill. Your kind is full of blood lust and hate. No we do NOT respect you. Your kind are the same animals who were so out of control at the Ayatolla Khomeni's funeral, you BOUNCED the body out of the coffin into the street! Your kind are so freakish you STAMPEDE each other on what you call a 'holy' pilgrimage! You freaks are lucky I or someone like me is not in charge, because I'd nuke the whole region and be done with it. You people are way more trouble than you're worth. Mohammed can kiss my a#%.
